Extract text from photos, screenshots, and scanned documents using OCR. All processing happens in your browser.

About this tool

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) converts text within images into machine-readable, editable text. Our Image to Text tool uses Tesseract.js — a JavaScript port of the world's most popular OCR engine — running entirely in your browser. No images are uploaded to any server. The OCR engine handles printed text in photographs, screenshots, scanned documents, receipts, and business cards.
